馬太福音 Matthew 21:18-19

21:18 早晨回城的時候，他餓了，21:19 看見路旁有一棵無花果樹，就走到跟前，在樹上找不着什麼，不過有葉子，就對樹說：從今以後，你永不結果子。那無花果樹就立刻枯乾了。(21:18 Early in the morning, as he was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 21:19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.)

腓立比書 Philippians 2:1-11
2:1 所以在基督里若有什麼勸勉，愛心有什麼安慰，聖靈有什麼交通，心中有什麼慈悲憐憫，
2:2 你們就要意念相同，愛心相同，有一樣的心思，有一樣的意念，使我的喜樂可以滿足。
2:3 凡事不可結黨，不可貪圖虛浮的榮耀；只要存心謙卑，各人看別人比自己強。
2:4 各人不要單顧自己的事，也要顧別人的事。
2:5 你們當以基督耶穌的心為心。
2:6 他本有　神的形象，不以自己與　神同等為強奪的；
2:7 反倒虛己，取了奴僕的形象，成為人的樣式；
2:8 既有人的樣子，就自己卑微，存心順服，以至於死，且死在十字架上。
2:9 所以　神將他升為至高，又賜給他那超乎萬名之上的名，
2:10 叫一切在天上的，地上的，和地底下的，因耶穌的名，無不屈膝，
2:11 無不口稱耶穌基督為主，使榮耀歸與父　神。

2:1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,
2:2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.
2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
2:4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
2:6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
2:7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death– even death on a cross!
2:9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
2:11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Shining as Stars )

傳道書 1:2-8，12:8-14
1:2 傳道者說：虛空的虛空，虛空的虛空，凡事都是虛空。”Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.”
1:3 人一切的勞碌，就是他在日光之下的勞碌，有什麼益處呢？What does man gain from all his labor at which he toils under the sun?
1:4 一代過去，一代又來，地卻永遠長存。Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever.
1:5 日頭出來，日頭落下，急歸所出之地。The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises.
1:6 風往南刮，又向北轉，不住地旋轉，而且返迴轉行原道。The wind blows to the south and turns to the north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course.
1:7 江河都往海里流，海卻不滿；江河從何處流，仍歸還何處。All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again.
1:8 萬事令人厭煩(或作“萬物滿有睏乏”)，人不能說盡。眼看，看不飽；耳聽，聽不足。All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing.
12:8 傳道者說：“虛空的虛空，凡事都是虛空。””Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Everything is meaningless!” ( The Conclusion of the Matter )
12:9 再者，傳道者因有智慧，仍將知識教訓眾人；又默想，又考查，又陳說許多箴言。Not only was the Teacher wise, but also he imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs.
12:10 傳道者專心尋求可喜悅的言語，是憑正直寫的誠實話。The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true.
12:11 智慧人的言語，好象刺棍；會中之師的言語，又象釘穩的釘子，都是一個牧者所賜的。The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails-given by one Shepherd.
12:12 我兒，還有一層，你當受勸戒：著書多，沒有窮盡；讀書多，身體疲倦。Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them. Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.
12:13 這些事都已聽見了。總意就是敬畏　神，謹守他的誡命，這是人所當盡的本分(或作“這是眾人的本分”)。Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.
12:14 因為人所作的事，連一切隱藏的事，無論是善是惡，　神都必審問。For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.

腓立比書 Philippians 1:3-11
1:3 我每逢想念你們，就感謝我的神；I thank my God every time I remember you.
1:4 (每逢為你們眾人祈求的時候，常是歡歡喜喜地祈求。)In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy
1:5 因為從頭一天直到如今，你們是同心合意地興旺福音。because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,
1:6 我深信那在你們心裡動了善工的，必成全這工，直到耶穌基督的日子。being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
1:7 我為你們眾人有這樣的意念，原是應當的；因你們常在我心裡，無論我是在捆鎖之中，是辯明證實福音的時候，你們都與我一同得恩。It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me.
1:8 我體會基督耶穌的心腸，切切地想念你們眾人，這是　神可以給我作見證的。God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.
1:9 我所禱告的，就是要你們的愛心，在知識和各樣見識上，多而又多，And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,
1:10 使你們能分別是非(或作“喜愛那美好的事”)，作誠實無過的人，直到基督的日子；so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ,
1:11 並靠着耶穌基督結滿了仁義的果子，叫榮耀稱讚歸與神。filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ–to the glory and praise of God. (Paul’s Chains Advance the Gospel )

馬太福音 Matthew. 5:13-16
5:13 “你們是世上的鹽。鹽若失了味，怎能叫它再咸呢？以後無用，不過丟在外面，被人踐踏了。You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
5:14 你們是世上的光。城造在山上，是不能隱藏的。You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
5:15 人點燈，不放在斗底下，是放在燈台上，就照亮一家的人。Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
5:16 你們的光也當這樣照在人前，叫他們看見你們的好行為，便將榮耀歸給你們在天上的父。In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. (The Fulfillment of the Law )

帖前2:3-12
3 我 們 的 勸 勉 不 是 出 於 錯 誤 ， 不 是 出 於 污 穢 ， 也 不 是 用 詭 詐 。
4 但 神 既 然 驗 中 了 我 們 ， 把 福 音 托 付 我 們 ， 我 們 就 照 樣 講 ， 不 是 要 討 人 喜 歡 ， 乃 是 要 討 那 察 驗 我 們 心 的 神 喜 歡 。
5 因 為 我 們 從 來 沒 有 用 過 諂 媚 的 話 ， 這 是 你 們 知 道 的 ； 也 沒 有 藏 着 貪 心 ， 這 是 神 可 以 作 見 證 的 。
6 我 們 作 基 督 的 使 徒 ， 雖 然 可 以 叫 人 尊 重 ， 卻 沒 有 向 你 們 或 向 別 人 求 榮 耀 ；
7 只 在 你 們 中 間 存 心 溫 柔 ， 如 同 母 親 乳 養 自 己 的 孩 子 。
8 我 們 既 是 這 樣 愛 你 們 ， 不 但 願 意 將 神 的 福 音 給 你 們 ， 連 自 己 的 性 命 也 願 意 給 你 們 ， 因 你 們 是 我 們 所 疼 愛 的 。
9 弟 兄 們 ， 你 們 記 念 我 們 的 辛 苦 勞 碌 ， 晝 夜 做 工 ， 傳 神 的 福 音 給 你 們 ， 免 得 叫 你 們 一 人 受 累 。
10 我 們 向 你 們 信 主 的 人 ， 是 何 等 聖 潔 、 公 義 、 無 可 指 摘 ， 有 你 們 作 見 證 ， 也 有 神 作 見 證 。
11 你 們 也 曉 得 我 們 怎 樣 勸 勉 你 們 ， 安 慰 你 們 ， 囑 咐 你 們 各 人 ， 好 像 父 親 待 自 己 的 兒 女 一 樣 ，
12 要 叫 你 們 行 事 對 得 起 那 召 你 們 進 他 國 、 得 他 榮 耀 的 神 。

Thessalonians 2:3-12
3 For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you. 4 On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts. 5 You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed—God is our witness. 6 We were not looking for praise from people, not from you or anyone else, even though as apostles of Christ we could have asserted our authority. 7 Instead, we were like young children[a] among you.
Just as a nursing mother cares for her children, 8 so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. 9 Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you. 10 You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. 11 For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, 12 encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.
